More Meat. Hsinchu, Taiwan

Doesn't that look delicious? There is a small market which I visit or used to visit quite regularly on Saturdays near my house. The market is on a cross street close to the large Chung Hwa telecom service building between I think Mintzu and Beida rd. Great fresh fruit, vegetables, children's clothes, and the freshest meat possible. If you're not squeamish you can walk up and choose your chicken while it is still alive. They will then kill it, clean it, and sell it to you head attached. I wouldn't be able to do this. I like the sterility of the super market with reality hidden behind a large wall and delivered in a plastic wrapper. I do find it fascinating and do respect the practice. It is brutally honest.
