Today I was reminded why I removed the commenting feature from this site many months ago. I haven't been able to check email or this site for the past few days and today I found 600 comment spam filling my mailbox. None of this gets posted to the site but it is still a huge waste of time to have to sit here and prune all the comments. Nothing seems to dissuade them, even requiring registration is somehow circumvented. Heather Champ has an interesting solution which seems to work though not so well. I may try it.
The super typhoon has left us and we got off easy. Only the water coming in through the ceiling which I have become so accustomed to. It's amazing how over time you start putting up with things. You learn how to be patient in Taiwan and just going with the flow helps maintain your sanity.
