Taipei 101. Taipei, Taiwan

As I have been stuck in Hsinchu and Bangkok for just about the past year I have missed a great deal of the changes that have occurred in Taipei. Whole areas have grown since I have been there last, with new buildings and of course more places to spend money. I finally had a chance this past weekend to visit Taipei 101, now the worlds tallest building. Impressive structure to say the least. The design of Taipei 101 draws influence from Chinese culture with the interior and exterior incorporating Chinese pagoda form and the shape of bamboo flowers. I spent some time shopping inside the mall, which is like being in never never land compared to the Hsinchu shopping experience. But like Hsinchu (and more) I couldn't afford to buy a thing.

I also have an impression about Xinzhu's awkward shopping mall(the Windy City)and would agree with you about the city's sometime slowness.
Taipei isn't that beautiful though. I would comment the area where Taipei 101 stand is only for money's sake rather than being a shopper's heaven.
Your pictures are always facinating!
