I had a nice break with agreeable weather. When I go on a break I either want to sleep all the time or wear myself out. When I was taking a couple weeks off at a time I would go trekking which would mean arriving home tired and sore. If it was a short trip I tended to spend a great deal of time sleeping. This trip was really neither - just a short escape form the grayness of Hsinchu. It was good to relax on the beach. Though I took a few cameras I didn't really take many photographs. Sometimes it works out that way.
The only unfortunate part of the trip, other than the restaurant where I had Christmas dinner being slightly disappointing, is that I have arrived home with a chest cold from hell. I haven't slept in 3 nights and as I sit here in my office I am fighting sleep. It is times like this that I wish I still worked for a large company with good health coverage. I can't call in sick when I am the only one working.
The above photograph was taken at a Tainan temple celebration. I don't understand the humour but I do find it funny.
