Boy Dancing. Charlottetown, P.E.I

I was meandering around downtown Charlottetown on this day walking from deep in the wilds of Sherwood down along what constitutes the waterfront. By the time I reached the waterfront I was getting hungry which for me usually changes my mood for the worse - so my morning of taking photos was quickly being replaced with my obsession with finding a place to eat. After eating very heavy and huge portioned "Canadian" food for a few days I opted to eat at the Formosa Tea House. Though the dumplings were reheated in the microwave (God!) it didn't disappoint. I can see why with such an eclectic (for Charlottetown) they remain very popular.

Prior to lunch I snaked my way through the outside of the Confederation Center a structure, not unlike what you see here in Taiwan, devoid of emotion and any sense of it's surroundings. I stopped to listen to the Confederation Brass formerly the Island Brass (in my day) and watched as the young Japanese boy danced to the music. The group sounded fine and brought back fond memories of all the summers I played trumpet with this group on the steps of the Confederation Center. It's a wonderful program which I am glad the Musical Director has kept alive.
