When I am walking about with my camera I always have the urge to snap some photographs of the faces of the people I see. Most of the time I am either too shy to ask to take someone's picture or I don't want to offend someone by involving them in the scene of my shot. So what I often do is just stand back watching a crowd of people and occasionally capture something I find interesting. I did this at Siam square in Bangkok some time ago and I found the results kind of cool.
I saw this young lady, a Japanese tourist, walking down Queen street early in the morning. She looked interesting and I am usually curious about what attracts young Japanese to Charlottetown (other than Anne) but this was about as close as I got to striking up a conversation. Maybe when I am old and gray I will have lost my shyness.
