I feel a bit cheeky posting this photo but after living away for so long these kind of ordinary scenes look differently to me. I spent a week working in the area of this photo and they had been working on this corner during that period and likely for considerable time beforehand. The workers I see, mainly Thai. workers making next to nothing, are lean with weathered expressions. This man more resembles a Chinese monk than a hard working labourer. O'Canada.
