Sink & Mop. Hsinchu, Taiwan

Taken at a washroom at Tsing Hua University. It's amazing how great an effect walking through Chiao Tung and Tsing Hua Universities today had on my mood. They have the greenest and quietest places in Hsinchu. Waking around here is often described as something close to dangerous. There are few sidewalks (people drive on them anyway) and drivers take very little notice of pedestrians. Though I think unlikely, you might actually get the impression that drivers south of Taipei wake up deciding to run someone over and spend there whole day trying to achieve that goal. Mostly I think of it as an absence of relaxation. I never feel relaxed as I must always be aware of all the cars and people around me. So walking through an area devoid of traffic, no matter where it is, always gives you a sense of peace.
