On the way out of Hong Kong I had the privilege of using the EVA business lounge at the International Airport. EVA doesn't actually have their own branded lounge there, which seems a bit strange, but uses Virgin Atlantic's. It's likely a better deal since most of the other lounges EVA has are rather plain spartan affairs. Virgin Atlantic's lounge on Hong Kong is bathed in hot and cool reds with the focal point of the room being a large bar. Service was excellent but I passed on the huge array of liquor to settle for a simple brewed cup of coffee. It was 8 or 9 am after all.
It's easy to forget that Hong Kong International has a great array of places you can use for a fee to have a sleep and a shower. These kind of services are pretty much non- existent in the stalinist experience that flying in Canada is. The Montreal airport is a nightmare.
The above picture is one of the many plastic flowers that litter the Virgin Atlantic lounge.
