Catriona XI. Hsinchu, Taiwan

In Hsinchu public play space is at a premium. There are parks and there are play spaces but they are usually crowded on the days you actually have time to use them. You have to fight the garbage and dog poo too. Catriona doesn't mind though, partially because she is free of her fathers cynicism but also because all she needs is a good slide to make her happy. This particular play area is outside the womens resource centre just behind Hsinchu City Hall.

I think Catriona's t-shirt will serve as the segue into the next series of photos I will be publishing on 35togo. I'm spending about 2 weeks on Prince Edward Island, in fact I am here at the moment, which is about as far away from Taiwan as one can get. The weather has cooperated somewhat with a few wonderfully sunny days and an equal number of wet ones. But it's cold, incredibly cold compared to Taiwan and Thailand.
