A trio of young ladies walking on what was warm sunny day in Hsinchu. Listening to the radio this morning it appears that days such as that are going to be very few as they announced that temperatures will soon dip to 10˚C. Thats pretty cold. Maybe it was the realization that winter approaches that brought so many people out this past weekend. It's one more remarkable thing about living here, the dramatic shift in temperatures. There is no slow gradual change into fall or winter. In fact there is no fall at all.
I miss the change in colour that fall brings, in the Asia I know it feels more like life is slipping away, but in the northern latitudes it's like a metamorphosis. This is the ideal time to be traveling to my old haunts, so many interesting people to see and places to experience. It's good to stay put for a while as it will help me appreciate the time I will spend traveling in the future.
